So Saturday saw what is probably the biggest society wedding of the year! And congratulations to Pippa and James from all at Event Equipment Ltd. But with it came some new ideas and the return of some traditional ones which have been forgotten or lost.
We love the glass marquee, not a cheap option, but something to consider if your budget allows and we can assist in organising it for you. It has many advantages over the traditional PVC marquee, not just the WOW factor. It brings the outside in, everyone, no matter which way they are sitting, can see the beautiful views and its a good sturdy frame should a hurricane whip through.
For the more traditional we love the page boys and flower girls traditional outfits, with Gypsophilia flowers in their hair and little baskets. Much cuter than suits and white dresses. If I could do mine again that’s one thing I would change. I also thought The Duchess of Cambridge looked elegant and understated. Perfect so as not to steal her sisters limelight, although I think I might be in the minority on that point.
I really hope Pippa releases some photos of the evening do, as her dress for the ceremony was so beautiful, I would love to see her second gown. I would also like to see the marquees dressed inside, from the flowers to the tables and chairs, it would be interesting for us to see.
If you are interested in this style of wedding we can help you create it, our event management service enables us to get the best for you, within your budget, to make your special day truly memorable. Look at our website www.eventequipmentltd.co.uk to see some of our work.
Back in the real world of the normal everyday person, wedding season has well and truly started and we are busy out and about delivering, collecting and seeing new clients. We do have some exciting news about a new project we are undertaking which we will be announcing shortly on Facebook and Twitter, keep your eyes peeled as it something for everyone of every age.
I am also later today launching a quiz on Facebook and Twiter about your ideal wedding, and everyone who fills it in will be entered into a prize draw to win afternoon tea at Tillys Tea Room in the picturesque village of Bunbury.
So I will sign off for today, more soon and let me know your thoughts on the Society Wedding!!
